New Newsletter on Volunteering is Launched!
|
|
Starting with this issue, the Montgomery County Volunteer Center brings you this new newsletter on Volunteering. It replaces the WE Newsletter that you may have been getting in the mail or as a PDF. We think the new format will be useful in helping you find ways to give your time in meaningful and productive ways. Montgomery Volunteer, as we've named it, also provides a small number of feature stories each month on volunteering, along with useful resources to help people get engaged and volunteering. In short, we want this to be a quick, useful, and enjoyable read which you'll look forward to getting every month. Reaching out directly to volunteers through this new publication is of vital importance as we work to help facilitate strong connections between volunteers, nonprofits, government agencies, and the business community. Please feel free to pass along Montgomery Volunteer to others (see bottom "forward email" link) you think might want to be in the loop on what's happening around volunteering in Montgomery County. It's easy to sign up - and just as easy to discontinue the newsletter should it no longer be of interest to you. We welcome your feedback of our new format, and foresee that we'll be continuing to refine Montgomery Volunteer as we move forward. Reed Dewey, Director, Montgomery County Volunteer Center
